The Marlins Foundation is now accepting applications to be a 2014 Marlins Charity Partner

Four local charities selected will receive $25,000 and be designated 2014 Marlins Charity Partners

The Marlins Foundation is seeking to partner with charity organizations for the 2014 Charity Partner Empowerment Fund. The organization chosen must provide direct and unique programming for kids through education, arts and baseball related facilities.

Four organizations will be selected and each will receive a $25,000 donation along with season long benefits. These benefits include volunteers from Marlins Ayudan, recognition throughout the season at Marlins Park, exposure with media partners and player involvement.

“During the first two years at Marlins Park, the Marlins Foundation invested over $1.9 million in philanthropy in South Florida and over 14,000 hours of volunteer service was completed through Marlins Ayudan.” said Miami Marlins President, David Samson.

In addition to the $100,000 Charity Partner Empowerment Fund, the Marlins Foundation will continue to support South Florida charities, schools and neighborhood organizations throughout the year with other programs and fundraising initiatives.
