Baseball Tomorrow Fund and the Miami Marlins renovate high school baseball field
Students from Hialeah Gardens High School, including members of the local RBI program, joined MLB Grounds Crew members from across the league, representatives from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, executives from the Miami Marlins, Hialeah Gardens High School faculty and local dignitaries in a ribbon cutting ceremony introducing the newly renovated field Tuesday, January 28 at Hialeah Gardens High School.
Funds for the renovation were granted by the Baseball Tomorrow Fund and the Miami Marlins. Donations were made by MLB Groundskeepers Conference sponsors, The Toro Company, Turface Athletics and Covermaster Incorporated, as well as local vendors.
“The Baseball Tomorrow Fund is honored to collaborate with the Miami Marlins, MLB Groundskeepers, The Toro Company, Covermaster and Turface Athletics in a field renovation to support the growth of youth baseball,” said Cathy Bradley, Executive Director of the Baseball Tomorrow Fund. “We are pleased to support not only the Hialeah Gardens High School and local RBI teams, but all players who will benefit from a safe, quality field.”
“The Miami Marlins are proud of the partnership that made this baseball field renovation possible,” said Marlins President David Samson. “This is another great example of Major League Baseball having a lasting presence in South Florida.”
